Senior Night Football Game!

Anticipation for the final football game of the season seems to be building at North Gwinnett. This Friday night’s game was also chosen to be Senior Night by the North Gwinnett football team. At 7 p.m., all seniors who are members of the band, football team or cheerleading squad will be recognized out on the field. The game will then begin shortly at 7:30.

Our school’s football team has been 9-0 this year, which means that Friday’s game against Peachtree Ridge will determine whether or not North Gwinnett will be able to win its first Regional Championship game in 52 years. However, this game will be no easy task due to our tough opponents.

Unfortunately, North Gwinnett lost the Regional Championships to Peachtree Ridge last year. Ironically, we are now faced with the same circumstances for this year’s Regional Championship game. Hopefully, the team will be able to redeem itself from last year’s defeat.

This year’s senior captains include Will Compton, David Park, C.C. Scott and Eric Wright. Although there are four captains for each grade, these senior captains will be leading and directing their fellow teammates this Friday night. Captain David Park is particularly excited for this week’s game.

“Ever since we lost to Peachtree Ridge last year, I’ve been waiting for this game,” he enthusiastically states.

Tickets are being sold in the commons area during all three lunches for seven dollars so come watch North Gwinnett’s football team make history this Friday night!
