The HALO Awards

TeenNick, formally known as “The N”, is changing the history of awards! That is right; instead of celebrities receiving the awards they are presenting the awards to TEENS! The HALO awards, Helping And Leading Others, are a special recognition to 4 ordinary teens that have helped out in their communities and are leading it to be a better place in America. Presenting these awards will hopefully motivate a new generation of leaders.

Since Nick Cannon was announced as the chairman of TeenNick, the HALO awards have been his greatest idea yet. Let’s hope he comes up with more great ideas to impress TeenNick viewers.

“I started my career here at Nickelodeon and am so excited to be back, serving as an integral part of TeenNick as the in-house voice and representative for teens everywhere,” said Cannon.

Participating in presenting the awards are Nick Cannon, Hayden Panettiere, LeBron James, Alicia Keys and Justin Timberlake. All the stars are eager to show the world what a difference these kids have made. The stars have shared that each teen award winner they have chosen is a hero to them.

On the televised award show, viewers can watch the stars travel around the country to find the teen leaders and surprise them with the awards. The winners are 17-year-old Megan Kilroy, an environmental activist, Leah Stoltz, 17, Darrius Snow of Atlanta, 19, and Bryan Jackson. All these teens will receive a special HALO award, cash prizes and an extraordinary surprise. The HALO awards premiere Dec. 11 at 8 p.m. Make sure you watch the awards to see some teens make a difference!

People need to see what the people who won are doing and try to follow in their foot steps.I might be only 10 years old but all people need to do is help your neighborhood with picking up trash.Ride a bike short distances and help the people who are helping because right now we are doing not one thing.
