The goal of the GCPS Community School program is to extend education and recreation to the community. The Community School is an extension of North Gwinnett High School and reaches out as a basic learning center to meet the various continuing education needs of our community. We strive to serve as a creative, quality community environment committed to developing and providing programs of academic and recreational enrichment for all members of our community.

We offer after hours classes such as Driver Education, SAT Prep classes, and Babysitting Certification among others. We are always seeking input and suggestions for new Community School classes, so please let us know what you are interested in.

We also offer the community the ability to rent the facilities at the High School and our cluster schools (North Gwinnett Middle School, and Riverside, Level Creek, Suwanee and Roberts Elementary Schools).

Please let us know how we can help you with your event!

Please contact the Community School for a GCPS Fee Schedule for Facility Rentals.

November Election - Poll Workers Needed

The Gwinnett County Voter Registrations and Elections Division is calling on employees to participate in the upcoming November general election as paid poll officials, including Spanish speakers.

There are 156 polling places, each of which typically has about 10 workers to set up and break down voting machines, check voter identities, process voters, answer questions, and ensure an orderly balloting process. In addition, a variety of job opportunities are available in the Elections Office on election day and election night.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old, a U.S. citizen, and be able to read, write, and speak English. They also must be a Gwinnett County resident or a Gwinnett County government employee, and they must have access to a computer for required online training and a vehicle to get to and from the polls.

Poll official positions offer valuable work experience. Currently, available positions pay a $120 stipend.

If you are interested, visit www.gwinnettcountyjobs.com for information regarding qualifications and to apply. Applicants should be prepared to provide I-9 documentation.

Also, if you have family members, friends, or neighbors who may be interested in being a poll official, please encourage them to apply today at www.gwinnettcountyjobs.com (search for Poll Official). Help make every vote count this election year!
