Community Breakfast

American Education Honorees

The North Gwinnett High School Community Breakfast was started 26 years ago by the school principal, Dr. Franklin Lewis. Annually, we are pleased to invite community members and business representatives to celebrate American Education Week and experience what's happening in our schools first hand. At the first breakfast sponsored by North Gwinnett, there were only 12 community members present. This event has now grown to more than 300 in attendance. The North Gwinnett Orchestra and Chorus provide entertainment, the Student Council President, members of the JROTC program and other students also participate in this recognition ceremony.

Two awards are presented yearly: the Friend of North Gwinnett Award and the Friend of Education Award. See the list below for past recipients:
