Worker's Permit
Students that need to obtain a Worker's Permit
The Georgia Department of Labor announced in October, 2006, the release of the revised Online Work Permit System. Instead of picking up a permit from their school, applicants can start their work permit from any computer using the following instructions:
- Go to www.dol.state.ga.us
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Minor.
- Enter your personal information, verify the accuracy, then submit.
- Print a copy of the Work Permit Data Sheet to give to school and employers.
Employers can now complete their portion of the Work Permit Data Sheet online as well. Follow the same instructions above, and/or refer to the printed copy of the data sheet for links to submit your information. If an employer does not have internet access, then the form should be filled out manually and returned to the student.
Issuing officers may access the Online System via the website, select Child Labor Quick Link, scroll to the bottom, select Online Work Permit, then select Issuing Officer.
