- For the second consecutive year, North is ranked #1 in Gwinnett by Newsweek Magazine.
- For the third consecutive year, a student from North Gwinnett High School has been named the Georgia AP Scholar. The recipient for the 2006 school year is Katherine Park.
- North Gwinnett High student Tanja Ardalic was recently elected president of the Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) at the Georgia DECA Career Development Conference.
- Student Government Association was named a Council of Excellence at the annual Georgia Association of Student Council Leadership Conference.
- NGHS Robotics Team placed 8th in the Southeast region of the USFIRST Robotics Competition.
- Latin Accomplishments
--Students earned 83 awards on the National Latin Exam.
--Students John Alexander and Pratik Deshpande were two of only three in the whole county to score perfect papers and Christine An won special recognition her earning a Gold Medal on the NLE four years in a row
--Latin Team brought home four individual awards at Fall Forum
--Certamen team won 3rd Place (Novice Level) at Fall Forum
--Certamen teams won 1st Place (Novice Level), 3rd Place (Novice Level), and 2nd Place (Upper Level) at the Fall Certamen Championship
--Certamen teams won 1st Place (Novice Level), 2nd Place (Novice Level), 2nd Place (Lower Level), and 2nd Place (Upper Level) at the Spring Certamen Championship
- Greater Atlanta Mathematics Exam - Ranked #2 in Region, #1 in Gwinnett County
- Georgia Mathematics League - Ranked #3 in the State, #1 in Gwinnett County. Special Recognition goes to Michael Angell for the 3rd highest score in the state! Jung Kim and Jeffrey Angell posted the 5th highest score in the state!
- Georgia Tech Mathematics Competition - Junior Varsity Team Ranked #3, Varsity Team Ranked #5, Sang Y. Kim 8th place individual JV, Jeffrey Angell 1st place individual JV.
- Mu Alpha Theta National Log 1 Contest - Ranked #5 in the Southeast - Michael Angell ranked #24 in Mu, Sven Schlumpberger ranked #11 in Alpha, Patrick Morton ranked #11 in Theta
- 11 following students were award recipients at The Gwinnett County Reflections Awards.
- North Gwinnett Numismatic Team (Fabian Carrillo, Iliana Shaw, Heimy Rojas) won 2nd place in the Junior Division at the Georgia Numismatic Association's annual exhibit competition in Dalton, Georgia on April 21, 2007.
- 10 students scored in the top 10% of French students on the National French Exam.
- Athletics
- Football "Best Team Ever", State Quarterfinals, 10-1 regular season.
- Girls golf wins 7AAAAA Region championship, second in State for second consecutive year.
- Boys golf posts second-lowest Region score ever.
- Baseball wins 7AAAAA Region, climbs to #4 ranking in State, best ever finish.
- Boys and Girls Varsity Soccer Teams made State Playoffs, and Boys won Region title.
- Boys and Girls Tennis qualified for Region Championship, highest AAAAA finish ever.
- Fencing Junior Houston Fullerton qualifies for Junior Olympic Team and wins Men State Championship
- Fencing Team wins Team State Championship.
- Girls Cross-Country qualified for State Championships, and JV took 2nd at their Region.
- Varsity Cheerleading placed 3rd in the Region, qualified for the State Championships.
- Softball team went to state playoffs for 3rd year in a row. 19-14 record.
- Equestrian Team wins State, first year in existence.
